The history of Iranian civilization is known in the world. The existence of water structures in Iran, such as dams, gangways, ashtrawls, plumbers, water mills, and mills, has been centuries old, and reflects the deepening of Iranians and their vast knowledge of water engineering at that time. Some of these works are still under exploitation; some are rebuilt and work well; some are repaired and protected, but their use has been assigned to new and similar structures. The main purpose of this paper is to introduce examples of water structures in the permanent index of Iran, the need to preserve and restructure some of the existing structures, and modernize the structures for the survival of Iran's historical heritage. Also, innovation in the design and construction of new water structures as the historical and cultural heritage of the present age for the future of this land should be considered. It is recommended to construct and display physical models of sustainable or exotic water structures in squares and parks of Iranian cities.
