Journal of Engineering and Construction Management (JECM) is the first Iranian specialized journal in engineering and construction management.
Despite the existence of prestigious and valuable journals related to civil engineering and architecture, the lack of a specialized journal in engineering and construction management in the countryside caused this journal to start working in 2015 as the first Iranian specialized journal in the field. The basis of the JECM publication is to promote and develop construction management science with a sustainable development approach. Therefore, while reflecting the scientific and research achievements in various fields of the construction industry, this journal tries to provide a basis for the publication of technical studies and developments in the construction industry by focusing on the specialized topics of engineering and construction management and proposing a platform for expanding scientific achievements in the field of construction management and technology with a sustainable development approach.
To achieve the goals of "JECM," all professors, experts, and students of civil, architecture, urban engineering, and other fields related to the construction industry are requested to submit their innovative and valuable scientific achievements to this journal. The process of reviewing and publishing articles in the Journal of Engineering and Construction Management has no APC for the authors.
The JECM is published as an electronic journal with free open access, so there is no subscription fee for the audience.
The JECM is a fully open-access journal, meaning all articles are available on the Web to all users immediately upon publication. JECM articles are published under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0), and license holders can copy, distribute, display, and create the papers only if citing the original published article.
The authors are the copyright holder in this journal and retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.
JECM follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards. (See Publication Ethics Policy)

Plagiarism is intentionally using someone else’s ideas or other original material as one's own. Copying even one sentence from someone else’s manuscript, or even one of your own that has previously been published, without proper citation is considered plagiarism by this journal . All manuscripts under review or published with the Journal of Engineering and Construction Management (JECM) are subject to screening using plagiarism prevention software (Hamanandjoo). Thus, plagiarism is a serious violation of publication ethics. The authors are expected to check their manuscripts for plagiarism before submission.
If plagiarism is detected during peer review, the submission can be rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we reserve the right, as necessary, to issue a correction or retract the article. We reserve the right to notify the authors' institutions about the plagiarism found before or after publication.
