Abstract

Undisturbed groundwater abstraction and their lack of substitution have led to a reduction in groundwater levels in many of the country's aquifers, including the Garmsar plain aquifer. It is important to determine the appropriate areas for artificial nutrition as a way to remedy this problem. In this research, two methods of boolean and ahp using GIS (arc geographic information system) were used to determine the best site for implementing groundwater artificial gutters in the Garmsar plain of Semnan. For this purpose, 8 effective parameters including the distance from the river, slope, thickness of the unsaturated area, surface permeability, geology, groundwater quality, land use, drainage density and its information layers were prepared in ARCGIS. Each of these layers was scored on the basis of Boolean logic and AHP, and finally, they were combined based on the operator of each of these methods, and the appropriate location maps for artificial nutrition were prepared. The artificial feeding plan implemented in the Garmsar Plain area as a control point was placed on the appropriate floor of the AHP method and the Bolin method. Appropriate lands for implementation of artificial nutrition plan with the use of Boolean logic were 0.78% and AHP method was 3.38% very suitable and 36.39% suitable.
